Ferndale Farmstead Social Media & Marketing Assistant

The Social Media / Marketing Assistant role balances two areas of responsibility: growing our social media reach, and supporting key marketing programs. In the Social Media aspect of the role, you will leverage your success in B2B social media marketing and be responsible for developing and implementing our strategy across social media platforms, with the goal of expanding customer engagement, building brand awareness, and supporting company objectives. In the Marketing Assistant aspect of the role, you ll collaborate with other team members and provide support to a wide range of B2B marketing and outreach initiatives. Ideal candidates are familiar with our artisan food industry and have a passion for engaging with our customer base both on B2B and B2C interface.

 

Social Media Responsibilities:

·       Implement and Maintain a comprehensive B2B social media strategy that aligns with company objectives.

·       Collaborate with Inside Sales Team and Marketing team to create and execute integrated campaigns that include social media.

·       Create and curate engaging content for social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok.

·       Monitor and respond to customer inquiries, comments, and messages across social media platforms.

·       Analyze social media metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.

·       Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices and incorporate them into our social media strategy.

·       Monitor and report on competitors' social media activity and adjust our strategy accordingly.

·       Adhere to a consistent brand voice and maintain company brand standards in all product support materials and communications.

 

Ferndale Farmstead Marketing Responsibilities

·       Build a working knowledge of products and company through close collaboration with Ownership.

·       Assist with creation, production and proofing of sales support documents, presentations, website content update,

·       Help with event planning and execution (Existing and Required assistance of the following events: Taste of Washington, Whatcom This Whey and the planning of 1 farm dinner ticketed event)

·       Assist with handling and routing sales leads with Sherpa Group Team (Inside Sales Team)

·       Undertake other projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in handling diverse responsibilities.

·       Push & Lead on site farm tours for school tours and private tasting tours.

·       Assist with Demos when requested

·       Assist with targeted sample requests from sales team.

 

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

·       Experience in B2B product marketing, preferably in artisan food or specialty cheese

·       3-5 years of experience in B2B social media management for a brand or agency

·       Experience managing social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, and Pinterest

·       Experience in creating engaging content and campaigns that drive engagement and brand awareness.

·       Familiarity with social media tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Canva, and Later.

·       Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office Suite

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Detail-oriented with a strong eye for accuracy and consistency.

·       Ability to collaborate and work effectively in cross-functional teams

·       Strong organizational and project management skills

·       Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

 

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00
